At the meeting initiated by the Hon Consuls Association in Bulgaria Ambassador Polanco presented the priorities of Spain in their term as EU Counsel Presidency. The Ambassador discussed with the members in a friendly and open matter the situation in Spain, perspectives and possibilities, hot topics in the region, as well as the wider relations between Spain and EU, USA, Turkey, Russia, China, and Africa.
Bulgaria and Spain have stable long-term diplomatic relations and growing economic ties. Areas that have potential for growth are renewable energy technology, food security, tourism and IT.
