As part of the diplomatic training of the trainee-attaches from “Marko Balabanov” Course, the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute held an online lecture on the topic of “Communications and Modern Diplomacy” with the participation of Mr. Maxim Behar, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria and PR expert. Among the items discussed during the lecture were: the successful ways of communication during an emergency situation, the future of the diplomatic representations in the digital era, world leaders’ behaviour manner in the social networks, the role of the traditional and social media in the diplomacy. The BDI is planning to organise a number of online meetings for the trainee-attaches with Bulgarian and foreign experts in the field of public, digital, energy and economic diplomacy. The meetings will emphasize on how the diplomatic profession is changing in the contemporary world and which would be the successful means for adaptation to the new reality.
